FAQ : Fashion

How do I book my appointment?

Contact Camilla at the studio, with a few dates already in mind. She will talk through what you hope for from your photo shoot. To secure your appointment Camilla will take a refundable booking fee from you, sending a confirmation letter with directions and suggestions of what to wear etc.

What happens next?

Please arrive with time to spare! We are based down a country lane (with plenty of parking) Sat Nav for CH3 6NY will bring you to the door. If you are early, you can look through many albums and framed pieces to get a feel for what to expect, but if you’re late it does cut into your shoot time and provides added stress for you!

I hate my photograph being taken!

Don’t worry! We hear that all the time. Jaine is skilled in relaxing you, whilst making the shoot fun and guiding you through various poses that will feel natural! All images are retouched prior to print, so if you have a spot or bruise it will be discreetly removed!
If you would like to bring your partner, friend or Mum along..... please do so (we suggest they bring a book as your appointment lasts 2.5 hours minimum).

What should I wear?

Makeover sessions are great fun and allow the most confident fashionista/would be model to really go to town! Those who might lack confidence please don’t worry; trust us and see the amazing results!
Bring a large selection of clothes you like (and perhaps a few that you have not yet had courage to wear) so that Jaine and her stylist can invent 2 very distinct looks which when combined with hair and makeup styling, sympathetic/ dramatic lighting and poses which flatter your body type, will create images straight off a fashion page!
Accessories do help a great deal whether a hat, stylish bag, jewellery or killer heels – just bring them!
Bring suitable underwear (strapless bra’s, plain knickers and plenty tights/ stockings) to suit all the outfits in your case. At all times nails should be either clear or well polished, spray tans subtle and not patchy, legs recently waxed/ shaved and hair clean but not straightened. Extensions are great if they really do match your hair type and colour.

What happens during the shoot?

Arrive fresh faced with no makeup at all and relax over a coffee; you will be the only client here and will receive our undivided attention from our all female team.
Following your styling consultation you will be placed in the experienced hands of one of our two makeup artists, who will cleanse, moisturise, and apply makeup/hair styling for your first “look” which will be either outside in some of our great locations, or in one of two purpose built studios.
Jaine will encourage you through a range of poses to gain the very best collection of images. Within minutes you will be relaxed and working the camera... the results will speak for themselves!
A return to makeup for a second more dramatic look will be followed by a different photographic set to really capture the model inside you... by now you will feel so confident and look almost professional!
Sadly the 2.5 hours will come to an end but you have more to enjoy! The viewing.......

What happens next?

Jaine will arrange a second appointment for you to view all the images taken via a lovely slideshow at the studio. She will help you to select the images you would prefer for a wall portrait, portfolio or album, along with a wide choice of frames and other presentations.
Our promise is that you choose what you want – no pressure sales guaranteed!
Jaine respectfully requests that no children attend the viewing, to enable you to concentrate fully upon your image selection (do bring a partner, sister or friend to help you choose).

How long will the pictures take?

Dependent upon your choice or prints and frames, the work will be retouched and enhanced by Gemma and Laura, designed by Jaine then printed, mounted and assembled in house, undergoing strict quality control at all times. This usually takes five weeks during which you will be kept informed of all progress. Should you be short of time for a specific birthday / anniversary then please let Jaine know and she will do her very best to accommodate you.
