Boudoir photography can have many interpretations but to me it is the experience, empowerment and final stunning results that are so rewarding. There are many reasons to consider a boudoir shoot (and as many reasons to put it off too!). Getting married, divorced, weight loss, cosmetic surgery, planning a baby or just to remind yourself of the sexy lady you were before life’s challenges took hold.
No matter what the reason, each client walks in a rabbit in headlights, then after professional makeup and hair styling, my posing guidance, professional lighting that actually flatters plus heaps of reassurance, they suddenly realise they have both inner and outer beauty, spring-boarding their confidence until they leave, walking home like a sex kitten!
Selecting the final photographs at a private viewing often includes tears (of joy) and huge relief! Hearing someone say “I really do look beautiful” is the best reward I can receive. Once chosen, their imagery is subtly enhanced and printed in many formats from print collections, albums (which make the perfect gift for a loved one) or beautifully framed.
Boutique hotels are now the backdrop for all my boudoir work, making the imagery seem more authentic, heightening the overall experience, becoming reminiscent of film noir movies with the subject and voyeur playing a game. To really feel relaxed, we can even arrange the photo-shoot at your home.
